Nonoka Masaki (間咲 ののか Masaki Nonoka) is one of Kazuya Maeda's classmates from middle school and one of the main heroines of the Photo Kano series. Her episode arc is covered in Episode 9 "A Challenge of Love".

Appearance[]

She has brown eyes, and short dark brown hair that almost reaches her shoulders which she keeps in a messy fringe hairstyle and she has her trademark green hair-clips attached to her hair.

She is either seen in her school uniform or her green softball team uniform.

Personality[]

Nonoka has below average grades, is extremely athletic and has an upbeat personality that allows her to have a lot of friends. She also likes to playfully tease her friends. She was originally not interested in matters of love but that slowly changes.

Plot[]

She is the ace pitcher of the softball club. Love is the last thing on her mind. She has been the protagonist's friend since middle school and has frequently given his nickname based on his interests at the time; the one she uses most frequently is "Darts'un" from the time the protagonist tried playing darts. She had previously given him different nicknames such as "Ereki" when he tried to play the electric guitar and "Billy" when he tried billiards though Kazuya had quickly given up on those hobbies.

She frequently borrows his notebook in class and after he agreed to help her practice a new pitch for softball she ended up falling in love with him.

Etymology[]

  • The name Nonoka is written in hiragana (ののか), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (野乃花, 野乃香, 野乃佳, 野乃華, 野々花, 野々香, 野々華, 野々佳, 乃々香, 乃々花, 乃々香, 乃々佳 or 乃々華), it could possibly mean:
    • 野乃花 - "field, wilderness" (野) (no), "from" (乃) (no) and "flower, blossom" (花) (ka).

Trivia[]

  • Nonoka made up a theme song for Ahoge-Appy, a mascot duck character on the game. The full version of the song is included on the original soundtrack CD .
  • Nonoka is the favorite character of Nobunaga Shimazaki, Kazuya Maeda's seiyuu.
